Mumbai, June 8: Motorola India has dropped the first teaser of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Edge 50 Ultra. The company took to X (formerly Twitter) teasing the flagship phone with a ‘coming soon’ tag and text – “Wood you believe it”. Based on the teaser, we reckon the arrival of the phone in the Indian market is imminent. The brand recently introduced the Edge 50 Fusion in the Edge 50 series. Regarding the teaser, Motorola gave the first glimpse of the upcoming flagship phone in the Nordic Wood version. Besides this version, Motorola also offers the smartphone in Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz in the global market. We expect the India-spec Edge 50 Ultra to be the same as the global spec.

The global-spec Motorola Edge 50 Ultra gets a 6.7-inch FHD+ pOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate. The flagship phone draws power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, clubbed with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The phone runs on Hello UI based on Android 14 OS.
For optics, the phone gets a triple rear camera module comprising a 50MP primary rear sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64MP telephoto snapper with 3X optical zoom. The front camera is a 50MP shooter for selfies and video calls. It packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 125W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It is likely to be priced in the bracket of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000. When launched, the phone will compete with Vivo V30 Pro, Realme GT 6, OnePlus 12R and others.
