Mumbai, May 15: Sony has launched two new Xperia phones today for the European markets. The Xperia 1 VI is the brand’s latest flagship phone, while the Xperia 10 VI is a mid-range device that succeeds the Xperia 10 V. Both phones are currently available for pre-orders in Europe. The Sony Xperia has a price tag of EUR 1,299 (around Rs. 1.17 lakh) for the sole 12GB + 256GBvariant, while the Xperia 10 VI costs EUR 349 (around Rs. 31,000) for the 8GB + 128 GB variant. The former comes in three colour options – Black, Platinum Silver, and Khaki Green, while the latter too can be had in three shades – Black, Blue and white. iQOO Z9x 5G To Launch on May 16 in India.
The sale begins on June 6 for the Xperia 1 VI, but customers will have to wait a little longer for Xperia 10 VI as it will go on sale starting June 10. Both the phones run on the latest version of Android 14 OS, and the company has promised three major OS updates and four years of security patches. They both pack a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

Sony’s new flagship phone – Xperia 1 VI – sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 240Hz touch scanning rate. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Powering the device is Snapdragon’s 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It also has a vapour chamber cooler for improved performance. For photography, the phone has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony Exmor T primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 12MP zoom lens. The rear snapper supports 4K HDR video recording at 120fps. The front camera is a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calls. It gets both IP65 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The brand’s mid-range phone, Xperia 10 VI, sports a 6.1-inch FHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It gets a dual rear camera setup comprising a 48MP primary lens and an 8MP secondary sensor. It has an 8MP front camera. The phone runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It has an IPX5 and IPX8-rated build.
