Oppo will officially launch a new A-series smartphone in China on July 2. Ahead of its official debut next week, the Chinese tech giant has started building excitement by teasing the design on Weibo. Based on the teased image, we can safely say that the design of the Oppo A3 looks very similar to the A3 Pro, which went official this April in China. Oppo will offer the mid-range smartphone in three colours – Green, Purple and Black.
The launch event is scheduled for 2:30 pm local time (12:30 pm IST). Moreover, the brand has already started accepting pre-orders for the A3 phone through its official website and online channels. Exact specifications and other details of the Oppo A3 phone are still under wraps. However, recent leaks suggest the phone will sport a 6.7-inch display with a hole punch cutout in the centre housing the selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone could draw power from a Qualcomm-sourced Snapdragon SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. It could be either Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC or Snapdragon 695 that will power the Oppo A3.
The upcoming Oppo A3 will be the first phone to incorporate the brand’s Cyrstal Shield glass with 7.15mm of thickness. For photography, there will be a dual rear camera unit comprising a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP snapper. There will be an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls at the front. The phone will be backed by a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging support. Expect Oppo to reveal some key details and specifications of the Oppo A3 5G phone before its official debut.
